Our Vision

At Alexandra, we aspire to give children a well-rounded education, which includes embedding technology throughout our curriculum. The computing curriculum incorporates four sections: Online Safety, Digital Literacy, Computer Science and Information Technology. Through these strands, we aim to give children every opportunity to succeed in our ever-technological lives.

We have developed a programme of work that allows children to develop a range of different skills as they progress through the school. Children are taught Computing once a week and links are made across the curriculum to enrich the development of the key skills. Online Safety has a dedicated lesson at the beginning of each half term, though messages are continuously repeated throughout the rest of lessons.
